8" Measurable MIG Welding Pliers with Retention Chain — Multi-Tool
Product description
What you get
This package includes a single 8-inch measurable MIG welding plier fitted with a retention chain so it can be hung from gun stands or hooks. The tool carries a simple scale to check three common welding wire diameters and typical sheet metal thicknesses.
Construction and cutting performance
The body is forged from high-carbon CR‑V steel and finished with a nickel plating to resist rust and surface damage. The cutting edge is induction-hardened so it keeps its sharpness longer under frequent use. A spring-loaded pivot lets the jaws open smoothly for quicker, one-handed operation.
Multifunction capability
Designed as an all-in-one welder’s helper, the plier performs wire cutting, tip removal and installation, nozzle removal and reinstall, inner and outer nozzle cleaning, and wire-drawing via fluted tip sections. The flat face can be used as a small hammer for slag or flattening work.
Grip and retention
Serrated, heat-resistant jaw faces clamp hot metal parts securely for steady handling while welding. The included retention chain attaches to gun stands or hooks to reduce misplacement during busy jobs and keep the tool within reach.
Ergonomics and applications
The curved, non-slip handles are made from a durable material to improve grip and lower hand fatigue during long shifts. These pliers are suitable for professional welders, auto technicians, mechanical engineers and DIY enthusiasts for a range of repair and fabrication tasks.

Jaw misalignment after bending
They function fine for welding, but when I bent flat metal the jaws shifted slightly. Might be a pivot tolerance issue. Still usable for most welding tasks, but avoid heavy plier work.
