Octa Dome 120 — 120cm (4ft) Octagonal Bowens Softbox
Product description
This is a 120cm (4ft) foldable octagonal softbox built around a Bowens-style speedring. The kit comes with the octagonal fabric dome, a Bowens-compatible adapter, at least one inner diffusion panel and one outer diffusion panel, a removable light-control grid, and a zippered carrying bag sized to hold the flattened unit.
The softbox uses a slim, space-saving flat-pack design with reinforced rods and a quick-release one-snap assembly that allows you to open or collapse the modifier in seconds. The 8-sided geometry creates a large, rounded light source ideal for full-body portraits, group shots, and on-camera talent lighting in video work.
Materials include durable outer nylon fabric, reflective interior lining for efficient light output, a fine-weave diffusion cloth for even softening, and a honeycomb grid that mounts to the front for added contrast and beam control. The Bowens mount fits amaran COB fixtures and other Bowens-mount heads rated up to 600W.
Use it on location or in a studio; pair it with strobes, LED COBs, or battery-powered flashes for portable, soft illumination. Because of its diameter and construction, a solid light stand is recommended to safely support the softbox and light head during prolonged shoots.

Lovely quality of light
Beautiful, soft illumination. It’s a bit heavy, so use a robust stand, but otherwise excellent for photos and video.

Top pick for portable studio setups
Produces very soft, wide coverage. I pair it with a battery flash and a compact stand for near-studio quality that’s easy to transport and set up.
