Product description

This set includes seven individual fillet gauges secured together with a single bolt and nut that can be loosened to remove or rearrange the plates. Each leaf is a separate fillet profile that serves to check fillet leg and throat dimensions.

All pieces are formed from stainless steel with a brushed finish that resists corrosion and keeps the faces attractive and durable. The blades are laser-etched with clear graduations in both imperial and metric for straightforward reading.

The gauges cover the following sizes: 1/8" (3.2 mm), 3/16" (4.8 mm), 1/4" (6.4 mm), 5/16" (7.9 mm), 3/8" (9.5 mm), 7/16" (11.1 mm), 1/2" (12.7 mm), 5/8" (15.9 mm), 3/4" (19.1 mm), 7/8" (22.2 mm), and 1" (25.4 mm). These ranges make the set suitable for most common fillet-weld inspection tasks.

Each full stacked gauge measures about 4.01 inches (102 mm) in length and about 1.26 inches (32 mm) across, making it easy to stow in a pocket or toolbox. Tighten the bolt to keep the pieces together for storage, or loosen it to use individual leaves during inspection.

Typical applications include on-site and shop inspections of boilers, bridges, shipbuilding, pressure vessels, oilfield pipelines, and as a teaching aid in welding classes.
