Solid Aluminum 45 RPM Record Adapter — 7-inch Vinyl Spindle

Product description

Package contents: one solid aluminum 45 RPM record adapter. The adapter is intended for 7-inch vinyl singles and fits into the standard spindle opening to center the disc for playback.

Dimensions and fit: the adapter measures 7 inches across, has an inner hole diameter of 7.5 mm (about 0.29 in), and stands approximately 20 mm (0.78 in) tall. Those measurements make it compatible with most standard turntable spindles and 45 rpm records.

Material and performance: machined from high-quality aluminum, the piece adds mass to the spindle area which helps minimize resonance and unwanted vibration. The metal construction also contributes to a more stable rotation and clearer sound compared with lightweight plastic adapters.

Ease of use: the weight and size are balanced for quick placement and removal—simply slip it onto the spindle and drop the record. No tools or adjustments are required, making it suitable for casual listeners and frequent users alike.

Applications: designed for home listening and professional DJ environments, it provides reliable centering and durability for repeated use. It’s a practical accessory for anyone who plays 7-inch singles, EPs, or other small-format vinyl.

Pros

  • Solid aluminum construction
  • Fits standard 7-inch spindles
  • Reduces vibration for steadier playback

Cons

  • Heavier than plastic adapters
  • May be slightly tall on some tonearms
  • Single-piece design, no locking feature

VerdictA compact, well-weighted aluminum adapter that stabilizes 7-inch records and reduces resonance. Simple to fit and durable enough for everyday listening or DJing. A reliable upgrade over thin plastic inserts.
