Design and operation: This is a spin-on style filter housing that swaps out quickly. It comes with a reusable clear nylon collection bowl so you can visually confirm fuel cleanliness and water accumulation. A self-venting drain valve at the bottom lets trapped water and debris be released without disassembling the unit. Turn the valve closed to retain fluid; open it to let water and muck flow out.

Performance: The R12T model is rated at approximately 15 gallons per hour flow, suitable for many small marine engines and auxiliary fuel systems. The bottom outlet enables convenient draining into a container or to waste while the assembly stays mounted.

Easy to install and drain

Simple to mount and plumbed in without hassle. The drain valve keeps hands clean when removing water. I used barbed adapters to go from 3/8" to 1/4" fuel line. Strongly recommend using reinforced nylon fuel hose — thin single-wall hose failed to seal and leaked.

Solved freezing/drain issues

Works exactly as needed on my Kubota BX24 frame install. Previous stock filters froze and had no drain. Now I can access and purge water without crawling under the tractor.

Good unit, avoid supplied tape

The separator is solid, but the included Teflon tape isn’t suitable for gasoline/fuel lines. Use a fuel-rated thread sealant or tape made for fuel systems.

Works perfectly for contaminated fuel

When fuel contains water it settles into the clear bowl and can be drained into a bottle or container by opening one valve. Well built and straightforward to mount.

Clear bowl handy but fittings need work

I like the ability to see and drain water easily. The provided fittings were poor quality and not true NPT; they fit a 3/8" ID hose. I sealed them permanently to stop leaks. With minor mods this is a good system.
