NOW Foods Organic Rolled Oats — 24 oz Whole Grain Oats
Product description
These are traditional rolled oats: oat groats have their outer hull removed, are steamed, and then pressed into flat flakes that cook into a hearty cereal or serve as a base for granola and baked goods. Each 24-ounce package contains organic whole-grain oats suitable for morning porridge, overnight oats, baking, and homemade granola.
Nutritionally, rolled oats are a convenient source of dietary fiber, protein, and iron. As part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, soluble fiber from oats may help reduce heart disease risk; one serving of these organic rolled oats supplies about 2 grams of soluble fiber. Because they are whole grain, they contribute to daily whole-grain intake and provide sustained energy.
This product carries several recognitions and certifications: USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, and kosher certification (Triangle K). The packaging notes participation in recycling or program recycling initiatives. The oats are packaged in the United States by a family-owned business that has been operating since 1968.
Use them as stovetop or overnight oats, pulse into oat flour for baking, mix into granola with nuts and sweeteners, or add to cookie dough for chewy texture. Cooking times vary depending on desired consistency; these flakes typically yield a heartier, more textured bowl than instant oat varieties. Try toasting the flakes for granola or blending to make flour for pancakes and muffins.

Bakes beautifully in cookies
Good oats for baking—made excellent oatmeal raisin cookies. Fresh taste and nice texture. Reasonably priced for organic.

A top-tier oatmeal
I almost never review products, but this is the best oatmeal I've tried and I plan to buy it again and again.

Best for cookies, chewier for porridge
Lives up to the praise—great in cookies. When cooked longer it stays a bit chewy; not as creamy as some brands.

Solid hot cereal with smaller flakes
Flakes are smaller than some old-fashioned oats but they are still slow-cooking. Flavor and texture are good for a regular bowl.

I toast these with nuts for homemade granola. Good quality and flavor—browns evenly.

Tastes great and affordable
Tried it for breakfast—very similar to pricier organics but more affordable. Would recommend.

Too fine for true rolled oats
Reminds me more of quick oats—tiny bits that get mushy in water. Not what I expect from whole rolled oats.
