amaran Octa Dome 60 — 60cm Octagonal Bowens Softbox
Product description
This Octa Dome is a 60cm (2ft) collapsible octagonal softbox that mounts via a Bowens-style adapter. The eight-sided geometry creates a broad, rounded light source that’s flattering for faces and useful for interview setups or small studio portraits.
Constructed from a durable outer shell and a high-reflectivity inner lining, the modifier uses a quick-snap frame that opens and locks into shape. The fold-flat speed ring tucks away so the unit stores much slimmer than a conventional softbox.
The package includes a front diffusion panel for softer, even output, a light-control grid to reduce spill and increase control, and a padded carry bag for transport. All fabric panels are removable for cleaning or replacement.
It’s designed for Bowens-mount fixtures and works with amaran COB lights as well as other Bowens-compatible heads up to 600W. Use it on-location or in small studio spaces where fast setup and a rounded light source are priorities.

Faster setup and better shaping than my umbrella
I used umbrellas for speed, but this Octa Dome beats them for shape and build. The light is even and pleasing, and the snap-open frame saves real time when I’m shooting alone.
