Purpose and fit: This mat is made to protect hard flooring from chair casters and scuffs. It measures 36 inches by 47 inches, giving a lip area for under-desk foot placement and a larger zone for chair movement. It’s best used on surfaces such as vinyl, hardwood, laminate, stone, tile and concrete.
Surface and grip: The top is finished with a frosted, textured treatment to improve traction and reduce uncontrolled rolling; this helps limit strain from extended chair use. Small adhesive tabs are included to help secure the mat on very smooth floors when needed.
Construction and longevity: Formed from rigid PVC, the mat resists bending and impact. The composition aims to be strong enough to avoid cracking or deforming under normal office-chair use, while remaining thin enough to be low-profile on the floor.
Health and odor: Manufactured from PVC formulated to be free of volatile toxins and strong smells, it’s suitable for indoor use near children and pets without noticeable chemical odor.
Care and handling: The mat ships rolled and will need time to flatten — warming or weighting edges can speed this process. It wipes clean with a damp cloth and routine mild cleaners. Note: it is not recommended for carpeted floors, where it will not perform as intended.

Feels flimsy; wheel catches edge
I found it a bit cheap feeling. My chair wheel sometimes flips the edge up. I’ll probably look for a heavier-duty option next time.

Bunches up on carpet, won't stay flat
These mats wrinkled and bunched where they crossed onto carpet. The adhesive tabs held on tile, but the carpet section kept forming a hump that never smoothed out—very frustrating. Spend more for a sturdier mat if you need one that stays flat on mixed flooring.

Surprised in a good way
No curling for me. It arrived rolled and took a couple of days to lie flat, but then looked unobtrusive and showed the wood nicely. Thinness is actually a bonus here.

Great mat. Barely noticeable on the floor and it does its job well.

Worked well after warming and weighting
I warmed it to soften the roll and weighted the curl overnight. After that it settled nicely on my varnished wood and provides a smooth rolling surface with only a slight remaining hump.

Protects floor and rolls well — slides sometimes
The mat does its job: no scuffs, easy to clean, and my chair rolls fine. My only gripe is that it moves occasionally and needs repositioning during the day, but for the cost it’s a solid floor protector.

Not for carpet — works well on hard floors
I tested it on carpet and it slid, so I was using it incorrectly. On hardwood it performs well, and it came with sticky pads that help keep it in place — just don't expect it to behave on carpet.

Matches description but shifts on parquet
As described, but it doesn't stay fixed on parquet — it creeps and I have to pull it back into place. A rougher underside would help prevent slipping.

Great hardwood mat — doesn't slip
I needed a clear mat with a desk lip to protect my wood floors. This 36x47 mat fits the space well and, despite mixed opinions elsewhere, it stayed put for me. The textured surface gives enough grip so my chair rolls smoothly without sliding unpredictably.
