30L (7.93 GAL) DC 12V Mini Aquarium Chiller — Quiet Tank Cooler
Product description
What’s included: the chiller module with integrated microcomputer controller, a circulating pump rated up to 0.8 GPM, and a DC 12V power connection. The pump circulates aquarium water through the cooling loop while the chiller’s fan and heat-exchange system dissipate heat to speed cooling.
Temperature control and performance: the controller allows you to set and hold temperatures between 50°F and 104°F, so it can cool (and in some cases help maintain warmer setpoints) to reduce thermal stress on sensitive livestock. The unit’s fan assists rapid heat removal compared with passive systems.
Noise and construction: measured sound output runs in the mid 30s to mid 40s dB, making it suitably quiet for living areas. The exterior is molded from impact-resistant plastic to withstand handling and tight installation spaces. Unit dimensions are about 4.41 × 4.41 × 7.56 inches and it weighs roughly 4.19 pounds, fitting compact stands and cabinets.
Applications: engineered for small setups up to about 7.93 gallons (30 L), it’s compatible with freshwater and saltwater tanks, axolotl enclosures, shrimp and coral displays, jellyfish setups, and small hydroponic reservoirs. For reliable operation, position the unit where airflow is unobstructed and consider a small fan nearby if condensation or surface freezing becomes an issue.
Pros
- Precise digital temperature range (50°F–104°F)
- Very compact and lightweight for small setups
- Quiet operation (≈35–45 dB)
Cons
- Designed for tanks up to roughly 7.93 gallons
- Temperature readout and settings in Celsius by default
- Condensation can freeze without airflow management
VerdictA small, low-noise cooling unit that provides accurate temperature control for nano tanks and small reservoirs. It ships with a circulating pump and runs on 12V DC while the microcomputer controller holds set temperatures between 50°F and 104°F. Noise is modest (roughly 35–45 dB) and the compact, impact-resistant plastic casing makes it easy to stash in tight stands. Best suited to single-digit ga

Cools and can assist with heating control
Exceeded expectations on my Fluval SpecV nano. It cools well and the controller can help keep very precise temps — useful for delicate shrimp species.

No cooling effect for me
Unit arrived but I saw no temperature drop — outflow water was the same as inflow. Disappointing outcome after waiting for installation.

Works perfect! 4/5
Good choice for very small reservoirs
I use this with a 7-gallon reservoir and it holds a constant temperature. Not intended for larger systems, but works reliably for my setup after several months.

Solid performance with axolotls
Owned for over a month and it keeps the tank steady at 62°F. Pumping is consistent and it only engages cooling as needed. Sturdy and dependable.

Quiet, compact, and easy to use
Small footprint, low noise, and simple controls. Keeps tank temperature steady with minimal fuss.

Manual and labels not in English, but device cools well
Controls and instructions were in a different language, which was annoying, but the chiller itself performed. Use both external clamps if provided; avoid letting clamps sit inside the tank. Also watch for condensation — a small circulation fan helps prevent surface freezing.

Works well for axolotls, temp display in Celsius
Keeps my axolotl tank reliably cool after two months of use. It runs automatically and maintains steady temps. Note: the controller shows Celsius by default, so you’ll need to convert if you prefer Fahrenheit. Overall very good value for a compact unit.

Two units, reliable for 5-gallon tanks
I bought a pair to cool two 5-gallon aquariums. Small, affordable, and easy to place. They take about a day to reach optimal cooling, then maintain stable temperatures.
