Wooden Rabbit Hutch with Leakproof Pull-Out Tray and Wire Floor
Product description
Leak-resistant pull-out tray: The hutch includes a deeper plastic drawer under the floor that slides out for cleaning. The tray is molded to reduce seepage and is intended to be rust-free compared with metal-only designs.
Removable wire floor: A metal grid sits above the tray so animals don’t rest directly on waste. The wire panel lifts out for quick washing and helps separate the living area from the drawer beneath.
Mobile wooden cabinet: The wooden frame sits on four casters to make relocating the unit simple; two of those wheels lock to hold the hutch steady when needed.
Multiple access points: The unit features two roof sections that open, side viewing windows, and two doors on the front, giving easy access for feeding, cleaning, and handling pets from different angles.
Expandable setup: The hutch is designed to connect with a compatible playpen (model AIR71) so you can increase the exercise and roaming space without building a separate enclosure.
Pros
- Deep, removable plastic tray to contain mess
- Rollable base with two locking casters for stability
- Multiple access points and playpen compatibility
Cons
- Wood surfaces can be chewed and may absorb moisture
- Wire flooring can be uncomfortable without padding
- Requires careful assembly; some parts may need adjustment
VerdictThis hutch packs practical features for indoor or sheltered outdoor use: a deeper pull-out plastic tray to contain messes, a removable wire grate to keep animals off soiled areas, and four casters (two lockable) for mobility. It offers several access points for cleaning and interaction and can be paired with the matching playpen for extra space. Wood construction means chewing and moisture damage

Sturdy and dependable indoors
Solid build and good quality. I use it indoors for my larger house rabbit and he seems comfortable and content.

Happy rabbit — quick install, diagrams could be clearer
My rabbit is content and setup took about 30–45 minutes. The diagrams aren’t the clearest and some parts weren’t labeled, which would have made identification faster, but overall installation was manageable.

Starts well but durability issues showed up
Initially perfect: the drawer made cleaning easy and the house was a comfy hideout. Over time my rabbit used hay to make a bed because the wire bothered his feet; towels helped. The wooden interior discolored from moisture and seems untreated, and both rabbits chewed the wood. The grate is convenient for cleaning but can be hard on feet without padding.

Arrived contaminated — dangerous for small pets
My unit arrived drenched in an essential oil (tea tree), which is toxic to rabbits. That made it unsafe to use. Attempts to get a proper resolution were unsuccessful; the response was inadequate. I would not recommend this product based on that experience.

Good fit for small rabbits
Quality exceeded my expectations and it was easy to put together with fewer pieces than I thought. It’s best suited to small breeds — perfect for the little rabbit I bought for my nephew.

Highly recommend — easy to clean and move
My Netherland dwarf enjoys the space and I appreciate how simple it is to clean. It looks good, moves easily, and makes routine maintenance quicker.

Poorly made for my unit — warped and unsupported
Mine arrived badly bowed and wouldn’t assemble squarely; a gap at the back compromised the tray’s seal. That allowed moisture and potential small pests access. Customer support offered an inadequate refund and no meaningful fix. Materials felt brittle and inexpensive in my experience.

Attractive and practical — assembly required
Nice looking unit that worked well for separating my large rabbits. It ships flat and took about an hour and a half to build; the instructions are fairly straightforward. Note there are two kinds of wheels — the locking set should be used at the front — and the single hay feeder’s placement isn’t clearly indicated. Packaging prevented damage but produced a lot of Styrofoam and plastic waste.

Great for ferrets — safer than multi-level cages
I replaced taller multi-level cages after senior ferrets were injured. Assembly took about two hours with two people and wasn’t complicated. I added LED strips for a night light. It’s not indestructible — toddlers or very rough handling could damage it — but it’s a safer, calmer option for older small pets.

Love it — roomy for my lionhead
Easy to assemble in about 45 minutes and roomy enough for my lionhead. I surrounded it with a small fence for more roaming space. The bunny chewed the ramp a little but left the main house alone. Several roof sections open for easy access.

Feels like an IKEA-style small animal home
We rescued a bunny and wanted something shallow, easy to clean, wooden, and attractive. This matched our checklist after looking at many options. Assembly was straightforward; I was annoyed by the extra shipping charge but the unit met our needs. Pros: shallow footprint for indoor use, decent construction for the cost, real wood with an easy-to-access layout.

No regrets — fixed a few assembly quirks
I read lots of reviews before buying. A hidden split in the tray was repairable with glue, and some screws go straight into the wood without pilot holes which made me nervous. The ramp holes weren’t perfectly aligned and the front started to bow a bit, so I added a couple of extra screws. Once adjusted it feels solid.

Two paws up — provide chew toys and exercise
After a couple of weeks of use I can say it’s decent. It’s made of wood, so expect some chewing if you don’t offer alternatives. It’s roomy enough for naps and meals but not intended as a full-time, never-let-out home; pair it with free-roaming time or attach a pen for exercise.
