Pack of 1000 White 4" Plastic Plant Labels — Garden Stakes
Product description
Package Contents: This set contains 1000 white plant labels. Each tag measures 0.8 x 4 inches (approximately 2 x 10 cm), providing plenty of markers for large gardens, seed trays or a small nursery.
Color and Marking: The tags are white to give clear contrast against dark soil. They accept pencil, china marker or permanent garden pens; the matte side is easier to write on while the glossy side stays cleaner for display.
Material and Durability: Manufactured from non-toxic PVC, these labels are waterproof and UV resistant. They are built to be flexible rather than brittle, so they won’t snap easily. Unlike metal tags they won’t rust, and they won’t rot like wood.
Usage and Care: Push the pointed end into soil or pots to identify plants, seedlings, shrubs or fruit trees. Writing is straightforward and many marks can be removed with a household eraser sponge or diluted cleaner to allow reuse.
Applications: These waterproof, sun-resistant stakes are suited to potted plants, raised beds, garden rows, greenhouses and plant sales. They’re a practical, long-lasting labeling solution for organizing and tracking plantings.
Pros
- Large quantity for big gardens or sales
- Waterproof and UV-resistant PVC
- Easy to write on and reusable
Cons
- Thin and somewhat flexible
- Permanent ink may fade in harsh sun
- Not as rigid as heavy-duty markers
VerdictA high-volume, practical option for gardeners who need many readable plant tags. These 0.8 x 4 in PVC stakes resist water and sun, won’t rust or rot, and take pencil, pen or marker well. They’re thin and flexible but push into soil easily and can be wiped clean for reuse, making them a cost-effective choice for nurseries, market sellers and hobbyists with lots of pots or beds.

Use pencil for longevity
Good overall, but permanent ink faded after six months in sun. I recommend 3B or 4B pencil — it lasts years and withstands rain.

Good value for pots
Right size for plant pots with a rough side for pencil marking. Thinner than pricier tags but perfectly serviceable.

Handy plant name tags
Perfect for labeling and pricing plants at my roadside stand. Solid plastic with a shiny side and a matte side. Pens work indoors; a permanent marker lasted about a year outdoors.

Works
They perform as expected. A few may not fit uneven spots perfectly, but they keep a nice finish and hold up well.

Reliable — bought repeatedly
I use a UV garden pen (not a regular Sharpie) and the tags last through winters and even when accidentally buried. Also handy for indoor seed trays.

Good price and reusable
Soak in diluted bleach to remove marker and reuse. Occasionally ink fades in very wet soil, but overall highly recommend.

Suitable
Suitable for their intended use, though I noticed a slight defect in some pieces of the material.

Plenty to last a long time
Perfect size — readable without shading seedlings. Water beads off and they stay cleaner than paper tags. Won’t run out any time soon.

Flexible but functional
More flimsy than expected, but after three months outside they still look fine and the writing hasn’t worn off. Easy to push into soil and accept various writing tools.

Good for large gardens
Needed 1000 tags and these arrived well packaged. Black china marker writes clearly and a white eraser sponge removes marks so they can be reused. Thin but they do the job and are great value.

Useful greenhouse stakes
Easy to write on and I’ll reuse them for my greenhouse seedings. Very thin plastic, but suitable for my needs.
