HATCHBOX 1.75mm PLA 3D Printer Filament — 1 kg Spool
Product description
Filament specifications: One 1 kg (approximately 2.20 lbs) spool of polylactic acid (PLA) filament. Diameter: 1.75 mm with dimensional tolerance of +/- 0.03 mm. Recommended extrusion/nozzle temperature range: 180°C to 210°C (356°F to 410°F).
This PLA is formulated for user-friendly printing on a wide variety of mainstream FDM printers. The material offers improved flow and toughness compared with basic PLA grades, allowing for varied print speeds and layer heights while maintaining consistent output.
Ideal for both newcomers and seasoned makers: novices can start with straightforward settings and still achieve good results, while experienced users can push speeds and larger nozzle diameters without frequent purity or tolerance concerns.
The filament is manufactured to reduce common issues such as tangles, bubbles, and clogs. It tends to exhibit minimal warping and emits little odor during printing; many users find it prints well even without a heated bed depending on the model and environment.
Each spool is vacuum-sealed and shipped with a desiccant packet to limit moisture absorption and help preserve print quality and dimensional accuracy. Use standard spool holders and feed directly into compatible extruders; if storing long-term, reseal or keep in dry conditions to retain performance.
Pros
- Tight diameter tolerance (+/-0.03 mm) for reliable extrusion
- Low warping and minimal odor for easier prints
- Vacuum-sealed with desiccant to prevent moisture issues
Cons
- Not as impact-resistant as specialty engineering filaments
- Some batches may require re-spooling if winding issues occur
- Black and other pigments can be a bit more temperature-sensitive
VerdictA dependable, budget-friendly PLA that balances ease of use with accurate dimensional control. Well suited for beginners and experienced users alike, the filament offers consistent extrusion, good bed adhesion, and low warpage. While there are stiffer specialty materials, this PLA is a versatile everyday choice for prototypes, hobby parts, and detailed models when you want predictable results and

Great performance in modern machines
Used on a high-speed consumer machine with no clogging so far. Temperature tuning helped for deep blacks, and the spool fit my AMS Lite. Good amount of filament and consistent results across colors.

Works well if kept dry
Performs reliably, but filament must be stored dry. Keep the spool sealed or in a dry box to avoid moisture-related print issues.

Winding problems can cause headaches
I’ve bought many spools over the years, but one arrived with poor winding that overlapped and caused tension during prints. Manual re-spooling fixed it, and the filament prints fine afterward.

Sturdy prints, worth recommending
Good adhesion and more durable prints than many cheap brands. Reasonable price for tougher parts—suitable for engineering pieces that need impact resistance.

Perfect for a ready-to-run printer
Ideal for beginners who want a preassembled, attractive printer that performs. Prints stick well to the magnetic bed and parts remove easily. Expect to tweak levelling and settings when switching filaments, but overall a smooth experience.

Excelente relación calidad-precio — me encanta
Muy buen embalaje y gran facilidad de uso. Piezas limpias a 210°C con cama a 60°C. No absorbe humedad ni se atora; recomendado para quienes buscan buena calidad sin complicaciones.

No issues here — prints cleanly
Used ~600 g for both structural parts and fine models with no stringing or underextrusion. Settings: Ender 3, Cura, 0.2 mm layers, 100% infill, 205°C nozzle, 65°C bed, 80 mm/s. Solid, consistent spool so far.

Reliable everyday filament that just works
On my third spool now. Excellent value for the consistency and glossy finish it produces. Good dimensional accuracy reduces blobs and works across a range of nozzle sizes. Better bed adhesion than cheaper alternatives. Not a replacement for polycarbonate, but a solid PLA for most prints.

Worst PLA I’ve tried
This spool often left blobs and caused overextrusion on several layers. Tried different settings without success; did not get clean results compared to other PLAs I've used.

Gute Qualität
Nach einigen Drucken bin ich zufrieden. Weniger Fäden als bei anderem schwarzen Filament und bessere Haftung am Heizbett bei gleichen Einstellungen.

Updated: problems resolved after hardware change
Originally had clogging issues and some spool binding. Replaced the hotend with a PTFE-lined E3D v6Lite and re-spooled the filament; clogs stopped and printing became consistent. Print quality is excellent when feed and hotend are set correctly.
