Faber-Castell Pitt 26-Piece Graphite Tin Set for Drawing
Product description
What it is: a metal-cased drawing set centered on graphite media, created to supply artists with a range of hardnesses and tools for sketching, shading and graphic work.
Contents and grades: the tin contains seven Castell 9000 graphite pencils (2H, HB, B, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B), three Castell 9000 Jumbo graphite pencils (2B, 4B, 8B), three Graphite Aquarelle water-soluble pencils (2B, 4B, 8B), three Pitt Graphite Pure pencils (3B, 6B, 9B) and three Pitt Graphite crayons (6B, 9B noted in literature). For corrections and highlights the kit includes a perfection eraser pencil, a plastic eraser and a kneadable art eraser. Sharpening and finishing tools are a dual sharpener, sandpaper block and a blending stump; a small paintbrush is also provided for wash and lift techniques.
Materials and origin: the core drawing implements are high-quality graphite formulations and water-soluble leads for aquarelle effects. The components are manufactured in Germany and the collection conforms to ASTM D-4236 standards for artists’ materials.
Packing and case: all items arrive housed in a hinged tin box sized approximately 7-1/4 x 12-1/2 x 3/4 inches, designed to secure and organize the pencils and accessories for transport and storage.
How to use: use the range of hardnesses to build value and texture; the Pitt Graphite Pure pencils deliver deep, smudge-friendly blacks for dramatic contrasts, while the Graphite Aquarelle pencils can be activated with the included brush for soft washes. The crayons are economical for blocking in large areas, and the blending stump and kneadable eraser help refine transitions and lift graphite for highlights.

Als Einsteiger sehr empfehlenswert
Unterschied zur Billigware ist deutlich: Geruch, Haptik und die Arbeitsergebnisse sind besser. Knetradierer und Wischer helfen bei feinen Verläufen.

Nice set — missing one piece
The tin and pencils were lovely, but one graphite crayon was absent from its slot. I contacted the seller but didn’t pursue a return for a single item.

Qualité et plaisir !
Crayons agréables sur le papier, faciles à tailler. Trois gommes utiles: la mie de pain est la plus efficace.
