Top‑Spiral 9x12 Sketchbook — 100 Sheets, 68lb Acid‑Free Paper
Product description
Paper and size: This sketchpad measures 9 x 12 inches and contains 100 individual sheets of natural-white drawing paper. Each sheet is 68lb (approximately 100gsm), acid-free and pH neutral to preserve your work over time.
Media compatibility: The surface texture is intended for dry materials — graphite, colored pencils, charcoal, crayons, pastels, pens, and sketching sticks all perform well on this paper. It is not optimized for alcohol markers or heavy watercolor use.
Binding and removal: The notebook uses a top-mounted spiral that allows the book to lay flat while you work and is comfortable for both left- and right-handed artists. Every sheet is micro-perforated so pages detach cleanly when you want to remove finished pieces.
Cover and backing: A sturdy cardstock cover plus a heavy backboard protect the pages and provide a firm drawing surface when you’re away from a desk. The pad is lightweight enough to carry in a bag yet stable enough to use on an easel or lap.
Who it’s for: Ideal for children, students, hobby artists and professionals practicing techniques or making studies. If your work relies on dry media, this pad is a reliable, portable option. The maker offers a satisfaction guarantee and will replace or refund if the product does not meet expectations.
Pros
- Heavy 68lb (100gsm) acid-free paper suitable for many dry media
- Top spiral lays flat and micro-perforations allow neat page removal
- Sturdy cardstock cover and rigid backboard for a solid drawing surface
Cons
- Not recommended for alcohol markers or heavy wet techniques
- Cover is flexible plastic/cardstock rather than a rigid hardback
- Very smooth surface may not suit rough-texture techniques
VerdictA dependable everyday sketchbook that balances quality and practicality. The 68lb acid-free pages handle most dry media without excessive smudging or bleed-through, while the top spiral and micro-perforations make working and removing sheets simple. Not designed for heavy wet media or alcohol markers, but a solid choice for students, hobbyists and sketching on the go.

Sketch freely
Thick enough to tolerate pencils, markers and light washes without much bleed-through. 100 sheets last a long time and 9x12 is a comfortable working area.

Handy 100‑sheet pad
Great size for indoor or outdoor sketching. The paper takes charcoal, graphite and colored pencils well and isn’t overly transparent. I’ll be framing a few pieces from this book.

Excellent everyday sketchpad
Roomy 9x12 pages that feel solid under pencil, charcoal and colored pencils. The top spiral keeps the pad flat while you draw, and the perforations let you remove pages cleanly. A dependable option for students and hobbyists.

Perfect first sketchbook
My first pad and I’m pleased — pencils glide nicely and the paper has good weight. A marker showed slight show-through but no heavy bleed. I do wish the cover were a firmer hardcover, though the backing and spiral are sturdy. Perforations tear out smoothly.

Very smooth — not ideal for heavy water work
Nice weight and smooth texture make it great for pencil and crayon work. I wouldn’t use it for full-on watercolor, but it’s a good transitional pad for budding artists. The cover and backing give a portable surface to draw on.
