Gorilla Grip Padded Ironing Board Cover — 15 x 54 Silver, Silicone-Coated
Product description
This ironing board cover is a single-piece replacement sized at 15 by 54 inches and built to fit most standard boards with a tapered nose pocket design.
Its top layer is coated with a reflective silicone finish that helps return heat toward clothing and offers a smooth surface so irons glide easily. The fabric is treated to resist scorching up to 400°F and is water- and stain-resistant for longer life.
Beneath the top layer the cover includes extra-thick padding to provide a protective barrier between garments and the metal mesh of the board. The backing is cloth-like and the whole assembly is designed to prevent the mesh pattern of the board from showing through clothing.
Edges are elasticized with a bungee-style cord to create a neat, custom-like fit. For added security there are two hook-and-loop straps on the underside that fasten to the board, keeping the cover from shifting while ironing.
To use, stretch the nose pocket over the pointed end of the board, pull the elastic edges around the perimeter, and secure the underside straps. The cover accommodates standard ironing boards and can be layered over existing padding if additional cushioning is desired.
Pros
- Reflective silicone surface speeds ironing
- Heat-resistant up to 400°F and stain-resistant
- Elastic edges with two hook-and-loop straps for a snug fit
Cons
- Padding thinner than some expect
- Surface can feel slightly grippy or rough to some users
- Not as insulating if you want extra thick cushioning
VerdictA durable replacement cover that speeds up ironing and resists heat and stains. The reflective silicone layer helps irons glide and return heat to fabric, while elastic edges and dual hook-and-loop straps hold it firmly in place. Padding is substantial for many users, though those wanting thick cushioning may still add a layer underneath.

Top-quality cover — highly recommended
Excellent construction and simple to fit. The silicone-treated surface makes fabric slide easily while adjusting and ironing. Well made and should last a long time.

Disappointed — too thin
Felt the metal frame through the cover at first. I ended up using my old padded cover underneath. Liked the vintage pattern but expected better thickness for the price.

Quality build, easy to install
Well made, simple to put on, fits like a glove and the extra Velcro underneath is a nice touch.

Good material though padding light
Slipped on quickly and fit perfectly. The fabric feels better than many other covers, but the padding didn’t puff up as much as expected. Velcro straps keep it tight—may add a towel underneath for more loft.

Fits older boards after minor tweaks
Worked with my older Costco board after I removed the iron rest to fit it properly. The cover feels decent but not heavily padded; the Velcro straps sometimes stuck to the backing. The silicone finish adds a slight grip that helps with cotton shirts. I trimmed an old sponge layer to reuse under this cover and that solved the cushioning issue.

Solid fit, low-profile padding
Snug and wrinkle-free on our standard board. Seems durable so far. My wife said the surface is a bit coarse but it performs well. Not the thickest padding if you need extra cushion.

Reliable replacement, smooth surface
Fits perfectly, stays put while ironing, and seems to reflect heat well. A solid, no-frills replacement that does exactly what it should.
