Coleman 3-Burner Propane Camping Stove — Portable Cooktop
Product description
Performance and output
This three-burner propane stove produces up to 28,000 BTUs in total, with three independently adjustable burners that spread heat across the cooktop. The regulator keeps pressure steady for more consistent cooking in different temperatures and at altitude.
Ignition and wind protection
A push-button, matchless ignition lights the burners without matches or a lighter. Fold-down wind-blocking panels shield each burner from gusts and also serve as convenient side surfaces for utensils or small items.
Cooking surface and capacity
The top provides enough room for two 12-inch pans or three 8-inch pans, making it suitable for breakfasts, large skillets, or paired griddles. Grates are removable for cleaning and to accommodate larger cookware.
Fuel and runtime
The stove connects to a standard 16.4 oz. propane cylinder and can run for roughly three-quarters of an hour when all burners operate at high output. A pressure-control system helps maintain steady flames as the cylinder pressure fluctuates.
Construction and transport
The unit features a metal housing and a detachable cooking grate for easier maintenance and packing. Wind panels fold in and the lid secures for carrying; the latch and some trim pieces are lighter-gauge materials intended to reduce overall weight for transport.
What’s included
The package includes the stove body, integrated wind panels, the removable cooking grate, and the built-in ignition and pressure regulator. A propane cylinder is not included.
Pros
- High combined output with three adjustable burners
- Wind shields that double as side tables
- Large cooking area fits multiple pans or griddles
Cons
- Lightweight latch and some thin sheet metal
- Controls can be imprecise at low flame
- Tight clearance when attaching a fuel cylinder
VerdictA versatile, high-output camping stove that handles family cookouts and tailgates with ease. The three burners heat evenly and the pressure regulator maintains steady flame performance in changing conditions. Wind shields and a roomy cook surface make it practical outdoors, and push-button ignition simplifies starts. Build quality and latch design are its main weaknesses, but overall it’s a reliab

Works indoor or out
Exactly what I needed: big enough for large pots and has room for a griddle while still allowing space to boil water.

Reliable and easy to clean
Performs well and lights effortlessly. The larger top fits big pots and the removable grill makes cleanup simple.

Does the job as expected
Performs as advertised and I’m satisfied overall. The lid clip is a little iffy but manageable for the value.

Functional but feels cheaply made
Heats evenly and is easy to clean, but some assembly issues out of the box required tightening screws. The lid latch design is weak and connecting the gas canister is awkward in the tight space.

Handy and compact
Very pleased—quick to set up and the third burner is ideal for a cast-iron skillet. Compact and sturdy enough for camping.

Improved flame control over older model
I owned the earlier version for years and liked it despite fiddly flame adjustment. This newer unit gives finer control and works just as well. We use two stoves together for different sized groups; the wind shields protect the burners and support cookware. Cleanup is straightforward and the original boxes are handy for storage.

Solid performance and outstanding warranty help
The stove heats evenly and offers plenty of room. The knobs aren’t great for very low simmering, but it’s reliable overall. When a regulator pipe leaked, customer service handled a warranty claim quickly and replaced the unit—excellent support.

Great for tailgating
Used it at several tailgates and it handled full-length griddles and cast-iron cookware well. Side panels stopped wind and the canister hookup was easy. The body metal feels thinner than older models and the plastic latch needs care, but the pot grate seems durable. It even survived a drop in transit.
