Ceramic Slow-Feed Dog Bowl — 1.5 Cup Puzzle Feeder (Purple)
Product description
Veterinarians often suggest avoiding some plastic dishes because they can harbor residues and irritate sensitive skin. This slow-feed option is made from glazed ceramic, which is smooth, non-porous, and easier to keep odor-free. The bowl is offered in sizes suitable for small and medium breeds; the 1.5-cup capacity is ideal for smaller dogs and many cats.
Constructed from thick, premium ceramic, the feeder is substantial and stable — its mass helps prevent tipping and moving during vigorous meals. The product includes adhesive non-slip rubber pads for the base (extras are provided) so the bowl stays put on tile or laminate floors. Because of its weight (around 1.45 kg), it’s especially steady, though care should be taken when lifting.
The interior is molded with ridges and a maze-like profile to turn fast feeding into a slow, engaging challenge; this discourages gulping and can reduce regurgitation, bloating risks, and overeating. For dogs unfamiliar with puzzle bowls, you may prefer to introduce a softer silicone feeder first to build confidence before switching to ceramic.
Practical for everyday use, the ceramic is microwave-safe for warming meals and smooth enough to rinse quickly under running water. It’s also dishwasher-safe, making cleanup straightforward and saving time for other activities with your pet.
The bowl works with dry kibble, wet toppers, or mixed meals and is available in multiple colors. Its glazed finish is glossy and consistent, and the raised interior channels are deep enough to be effective at slowing quick eaters without preventing them from accessing their food.
Pros
- Heavy, stable ceramic construction
- Microwave and dishwasher safe
- Included non-slip pads for firm footing
Cons
- Heavier to lift — can be awkward for some owners
- Ceramic can break if dropped
- May be deep for very small muzzles
VerdictA sturdy ceramic puzzle bowl that helps fast eaters slow down while resisting sliding and odors. Microwave- and dishwasher-friendly, the weighted design and maze pattern make mealtimes safer for dogs prone to gulping. Recommended for owners who prefer non-plastic feeding gear; consider a silicone starter bowl if your pet has never used a slow feeder before.

Stopped her from inhaling food
We rescued a starving shepsky and needed her to slow down. This bowl did the job immediately — mealtimes now take a normal amount of time. It’s heavy, so I’m careful carrying it, and I’ll likely add a raised stand for comfort. The purple finish is exactly as pictured and the capacity fits a cup-plus of kibble with toppers easily.

Also great for clever cats
Bought this for my cats who outsmarted plastic feeders; they can’t tip it over to steal food. The deep purple glaze and rounded channels give enough space for paws or mouths to grab kibble. Diameter is larger than typical cat bowls, which prevents pile-up. Works well for dry food — highly recommend for cats.

Works great for brachycephalic breeds
I have an English Bulldog and worried the bowl would be too deep, but she manages it fine. It cut her eating time from a couple minutes to around ten — she still finishes but has to work for it. Handles dry and wet food well. It's hefty ceramic (so plan on the weight) and cleans easily by hand or in the dishwasher. The plum color is lovely.

Effective and stylish
This ceramic feeder is heavy, stays put thanks to the rubber pads, and actually slows my dog down. It adds a little mealtime challenge, is simple to clean, and looks good on the floor. I prefer solid materials over plastic, so this was a win.

Good for older pups, too deep for tiny puppies
Solid ceramic bowl overall. It was too big for our tiny puppy because the ribs were fairly deep, so we swapped for the smaller size and saved this for when he’s bigger. Will be handy as he grows.

Durable and reliable daily feeder
My little Shih Tzu uses this bowl every day and it forces her to take her time with each kibble. No more frequent burping and digestion seems better. It’s held up for years, easy to clean, and much nicer than our old plastic/silicone maze dish — especially for removing oily residues.

Saved him from choking
Adopted a street dog who was gulping and choking; this bowl slowed him so much that choking incidents stopped. The rubber feet come separately to apply; I haven't bothered because its weight keeps it steady on a mat. Great size for a small dog, washes well, and I appreciate the ceramic material.

Slows my Shiba and is super easy to clean
These ceramic LE TAUCI bowls are ideal for my Shiba Inu puppy — they slow his eating significantly and reduce choking and indigestion risks. The smooth ceramic cleans without retaining smells, and the weight keeps them from sliding during eager meals. Very happy with this purchase for daily use.

Fait le boulot
J’en avais déjà deux et j’en ai commandé une troisième car elles ralentissent vraiment mon chien qui avalait tout. Jolie céramique, bien emballée et arrivée intacte. Très satisfaite et je recommande.

Solved regurgitation issue
One of our male cats used to eat so fast that he vomited afterward. Since switching to this bowl the problem stopped. One cat finds it a bit hard, so I gave him an easier anti-gulp dish, but the smarter cat is doing great with this level of difficulty.

Attractive, deep, and built to last
Beautiful glossy color and a smooth finish with no defects. It’s very thick and heavy; the anti-slip tabs (with extras) are a nice touch. I chose a larger size for my fast eater and the channel depth is excellent. Carrying it with one hand can be tiring if you have arthritis, but using both hands works fine. Remember it’s ceramic — solid but not indestructible.

Perfect for my rescue who inhaled meals
My newly adopted pit bull would bolt food and then have tummy issues. Puzzle toys helped but weren't practical for full meals. This bowl solved that: mealtimes slowed, digestion improved, and the yard is less messy. It’s a simple, effective fix for voracious eaters.
