6" x 35ft Heavy-Duty Anti-Slip Tape — 80-Grit Safety Grip
Product description
What’s included: one black roll of heavy-duty anti-slip tape, size 6 inches wide by 35 feet long, with a peel-away release liner.
Surface and materials: the top layer is a tough, 80-grit abrasive for consistent traction. The underside features a thick, waterproof adhesive designed to cling to smooth materials. The tape resists oil and moisture, making it suitable for damp locations.
Where to use: intended for indoor and outdoor applications — stairs, ladders, ramps, decking, trailers, truck steps, skateboards, scooters, entryways, patios, pool surrounds, docks and more. It also works on sporting equipment and industrial surfaces such as forklift platforms.
Compatibility: bonds to many smooth substrates including concrete, metal, plastic, wood, tile, stone and laminate. The adhesive forms a durable, water-resistant seal when applied correctly.
How to install: wear gloves for grip and protection. Measure and cut the tape to the required length, peel back the release film, and press the tape firmly onto a clean, dry surface. Smooth out air pockets while applying and press the edges for a secure seal.
Cautions: this tape increases surface friction but cannot guarantee complete slip protection in every condition. Walk carefully after installation and inspect periodically for wear or lifting.
Pros
- Coarse 80-grit surface for strong traction
- Waterproof, oil-resistant adhesive suitable for many surfaces
- Large 6" x 35ft roll covers extensive areas
Cons
- May require careful placement to avoid bubbles
- Edges can lift over time in severe weather
- Abrasive surface dulls cutting tools quickly
VerdictA robust, coarse-grit traction tape that delivers reliable grip for stairs, ramps, truck steps and other slick areas. The thick adhesive creates a strong, weather-resistant bond to most smooth substrates, and the large roll covers plenty of area. It increases surface traction markedly, but like any non-slip product it can't eliminate every risk — proper installation and cautious use remain importa

Very gritty and sticks well
Adhered solidly to my steps and has a very coarse texture—real traction. Hopeful it holds through the winter.

Saved our impromptu ramp project
We had to build a temporary ramp and needed traction fast. This tape applied easily and gave a very grippy surface. Feels sturdy and adhered well—exactly what we needed for safety.

Lasts a long time
Installed one roll four years ago; it lasted about three years before I swapped it for a reflective version. Durable and reliable.

Excellent value and versatile
Great product for adding non-slip patches on a wheelchair. Cut pieces with scissors after tracing. Strong grip and useful for many DIY fixes.

Stuck to fresh paint
Surprised at how well it adhered to newly painted wood. Installing was quick and it holds firmly. Would buy again.

Good for a dog ramp — time will tell
Easy to apply and re-positionable while fitting. Feels flexible and not paper-like; cuts clean with a knife. Curious to see how it weathers on untreated plywood after rain.

Straightforward to fit, looks good so far
I ordered a wider piece and cut it down to size. Prep and installation took about an hour. It’s coarse and feels like it will grip well; I’ll revisit if any edges start to lift.

Held up to heavy use on my truck
Been on my truck step for a year with no tearing, peeling or fading. Grips in wet and muddy conditions and keeps a clean, professional look.

Good grip, minor length issue
Worked well on laminate stairs after cleaning and smoothing out bubbles. One roll was just an inch short for my full set of steps, but otherwise the adhesion and grip are excellent.

Does the job but may be short for big jobs
It provides good traction, but a single roll won’t cover many stairs — plan quantities accordingly.

Great for covering ramps and large areas
Huge roll makes covering big projects easy. Backing can be a little stubborn at first but peels in big pieces. Press down well during application; a sharp blade is needed to cut cleanly.
